Fitness trackers are chart-topping products. Xiaomi has its own seat there. The latest model was launched in mid-2022. So no one has been waiting for a follow-up smartband to come soon. But today, the leaker Mukul Sharma revealed that the new wearable product dubbed the Xiaomi Band 8 had already been put into production. In other words, the new wearable is on the way and will hit the market soon.

Mi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi Band 8 Are On The Way

By the way, Xiaomi has scheduled to launch the Xiaomi 13 series models globally on February 26 as a prelude to the MWC conference. The series will include three models – the vanilla variant, the Mi 13 Pro, and the Mi 13 Lite (the global version should be called the Civi 2). This also means that the much-talked cameraphone – Xiaomi 13 Ultra – won’t attend the stage.

So there is every reason to think that the Xiaomi Band 8 will arrive with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The latter should hit the market in April or even May.

In fact, the last three generations of Mi Bands were all released in the first half of the year. When putting all these pieces of info together, it turns out that the next model will come after a year.

In general, the key features of any smartband are the display, battery life, connectivity, sports, and health monitoring functions, etc. Thus, there are not many things to play with. So we think the Xiaomi Band 8 should come with a larger screen, more advanced Bluetooth specifications, longer battery life, more professional sports health tracking, etc. We’d also like to see wireless charging support.

As a reference, the current model sports a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen, various sports/health monitoring functions, a 14-day battery life, various watch faces, and many more. Not in vain, it’s one of the best options on the market.
