We fully support removal of Finance Minister – Coalition of NABCO Trainees
The Coalition of Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) Trainees have thrown its support behind some Members of Parliament (MPs) and a cross-section of Ghanaians for the removal of the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta.
In a statement, the Coalition claimed that the Finance Minister has been insensitive to the plight of NABCO trainees.
It expressed surprise that Mr. Ofori-Atta released ¢25 million for the construction of a national cathedral when NABCO Trainees were owed 10 months, describing his attitude as not only a disservice to humanity but a clear unperverted disservice to God
“The Finance Minister who is always seen in his public speeches quoting biblical verses to justify godliness perversely released ¢25 million for the construction of a mere temple (National Cathedral). As his partial commitment to the service to God when NABCO Trainees were owed 10 solid months arrears and were in shock and starvation to death.”
“This attitude of the Finance Minister is not only a disservice to humanity but a clear unperverted disservice to God, a direct person and distortion of true religious principles”, it pointed out.
“The Finance Minister honourable Ken Ofori-Atta in his 2022 mid-year budget presentation, ordered the closure of the NABCO program without specifying reasonable timelines for the payment of all arrears as a means of mitigating inter allia, his abysmal performance of managing the economy,” the Coalition said in a statement.
It further said that the Finance Minister in the 2022 Budget presentation ordered the closure of the NABCO programme without specifying reasonable timelines for the payment of all the arrears as a means of mitigating inter alia, his abysmal performance of managing the economy.
“We all attest to the current galloping inflation, incessant price of increment of goods and services under the tenure of this Finance Minister. Do we query ourselves how NABCO trainees are surviving in their unemployed state when the finance minister has refused to release funds for the payment of their arrears”.
“We fully support the removal of the Finance Minister”, it added.
