Vivo X Fold Plus with 50MP camera coming to China this month

The Vivo X Fold Plus smartphone’s launch date has been tipped. Also, the handset’s camera specs have been revealed. Word on the grapevine is that Vivo will be launching another foldable phone later this year. To recap, the company launched its first-ever foldable smartphone dubbed the Vivo X Fold in China earlier this year. The X Fold sold like hotcakes after hitting the store shelves for the first time in April.

Regrettably, Vivo did not launch the X Fold in the Indian market. Now, the company is on the verge of unveiling its next foldable phone with the Vivo X Fold Plus moniker. However, Vivo was originally prepping to launch it as the X Fold S. Amid the lack of an official confirmation, noted tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the Vivo X Fold Plus smartphone’s camera specs.

Also, there will be a 48MP ultra-wide camera on the back.

Under the hood, the X Fold Plus packs the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Notably, the alleged Vivo X Fold S recently got the approval of China’s 3C certification website. The 3C listing showed that the handset has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC. Further, DCS claims that the X Fold Plus will deliver a longer battery life than its predecessor. To recap, the X Fold used a 4,600 mAh battery to draw its juices. Also, the Plus model could support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The smartphone could sport an 8.03-inch inner foldable AMOLED LTPO display with 2K resolution support. Moreover, this screen will probably provide a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is likely to get a 6.53-inch 120Hz AMOLED cover display outside. Both displays could get an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the device could come in a red color option with a leather finish. The Vivo X Fold Plus smartphone’s launch in China could take place later this month.
