The IMEI listing reveals the upcoming smartphone’s model number. Moreover, a report by XiaomiUI has divulged the Poco X5 5G smartphone’s specifications. Poco’s X5 5G will be a mid-range smartphone that is likely to hit the store shelves in India soon. Also, Poco could launch the handset in several other regions.

Poco has been on a launch spree in India. To recap, the company launched the Poco F4 5G smartphone in the country on June 23. The device was launched in the global markets as well. Likewise, the Poco X5 5G India variant carries model number 22101320I on the IMEI database. Interestingly, the handset will launch in China with the Redmi branding. The Chinese model has model number 22101320C. According to the XiaomiUI report, the X5 5G will sport an IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. So, the new 5G-ready phone from Poco will not get an AMOLED panel.

Under the hood, it could pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. The same SoC powers up the Moto Edge 30 5G and the Nothing Phone (1) in India. Moreover, the Poco phone bears the codename “redwood” and it is likely to launch later this year. According to XiaomiUI report, the Poco X5 5G launch date could be set between October 13 and October 20. However, Poco has neither confirmed nor denied this speculation.
