Moto Edge 30 Ultra, world’s first 200 MP camera phone has appeared on Geekbench
The wait is almost over! Motorola is gearing up to introduce the world’s first 200 MP camera smartphone. The device will reach global markets as Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. However, it will land first in China as Moto Edge X30 Pro. The device will launch early in August alongside the Moto RAZR 2022. Ahead of its launch, the Moto Edge X30 Pro has passed through the Geekbench benchmark. It’s not a surprise that the device will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. After all, the device has leaked extensively, but it’s good proof of the real thing.
Moto Edge X30 / Moto Edge 30 Ultra – world’s first 200 MP camera phone passes by Geekbench
Unsurprisingly, the Moto Edge X30 / Moto Edge 30 Ultra brings impressive results on Geekbench. The device scores 1,252 points in the Single Core tests. On the multi-core department, the processor scores 3,972 points. It is in line with other results on this platform. Interestingly, Geekbench serves to confirm the existence of 12 GB of RAM. The phone will bring Android 12 straight out of the box. The global customers will get a vanilla-like Android. However, Chinese customers will get a custom interface. The Chinese customers don’t like vanilla Android and are familiar with operating systems such as MIUI, ColorOS, etc. For that reason, it makes sense for the Lenovo-owned brand to ship a distinct software.
Other Moto Edge 30 Ultra specifications are also available thanks to the leaks. The phone is rumored to come with a massive 5,000 mAh battery with an impressive 125 W wired charging. Furthermore, the rumors also point out the availability of 50W wireless charging support. The phone will bring up to 512 GB of Internal Storage. In terms of optics, the device will have a 50 MP ultrawide shooter as well as a 12 MP portrait camera. The launch is scheduled for August 2.
Unfortunately, there is no word on the Moto Edge 30 Ultra release across global markets. The device is definitively coming, but that won’t happen simultaneously with the Chinese launch. Taking the Moto Edge 30 Pro as an example, Motorola may have to wait 1-2 months to bring the device to the West.
