A-45-year old man farmer, Yaw Muntom, has handed himself to the police after shooting and killing his wife at Prang in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region.
He reported himself to the Prang police that at around 3:00pm today, August 21, 2021, he had a quarrel with his wife, Abena Jayon, 30 years. He said in the course of the quarrel, he entered his room, took his single barrel gun and shot her.

Policemen on duty went to the scene of the incident with him and found Abena Jayon lying in a prone position dead in a pool of blood with the single barrel gun allegedly used to kill her also lying beside her.
Gunshot wound was seen on her left shoulder upon inspection. An empty cartridge was also found in the chamber of the gun.
The body has been deposited at Mathias Catholic Hospital Morgue, Yeji for preservation and autopsy while the suspect has been detained to assist in investigation.
