Former President Mahama and other prominent figures attend John Dumelo’s mother’s funeral
On Saturday, October 7th, 2023, Ghana’s political and entertainment luminaries gathered at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka, Accra, to pay their respects to Mrs. Antoinette Veronica Ama Ampona Dumelo, mother of actor, politician, and farmer John Dumelo.
The day began with a file past from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., as friends, family, and notable personalities paid their last respects to Mrs. Dumelo. The air was heavy with a mix of sorrow and reverence as attendees reflected on the life and legacy of this remarkable woman.
At 9 a.m., the burial mass service commenced, with the Cathedral resonating with the soothing hymns and prayers of the congregation. Their presence not only underlined the unity of the nation in the face of loss but also emphasized the deep respect and admiration Mrs. Dumelo garnered from all walks of life.
