‘Coded was initially not a member of 4×4’ – Captain Planet reveals
Captain Planet of 4×4 fame has revealed that the other half of 4×4 was initially the late Castro and not ‘Coded’ of ‘Dada da moase’ fame.
In an interviewed with Andy Dosty on ‘Library’ on Hitz 103.9 FM, Captain planet said ‘Abortion’ now ‘Coded’, was later brought in by Bright of Buk Bak to allow the original member, Castro to go solo.
The startling revelation was made on a programme designed to celebrate the legendary producer, Jeff Tennyson Quaye popularly known as ‘Jay Q’.
4×4 was a Ghanaian hip-hop musical group formed in the year 2000 by Captain Planet originally named Syvanus Dodji Jeoffrey and ‘Abortion’ christened Russel Edem Avornyo now ‘Coded’ with the help of Buk Bak duo, Ronnie Coaches and Bright Bling Sparkles.
They are reputed to have brought Crunk music to Ghana. In 2007, Captain Planet and Abortion were joined by a new artist called Fresh Prince born Prince Tamakloe.
The group has since gone their separate ways
