Apple confirms that iOS will expand advertising space
Apple is not only the most profitable hardware seller in the global smartphone industry, but will also increase advertising services. The holiday shopping season at the end of the year is approaching. Apple has now confirmed that it will increase the number of advertisements on iOS and encourage developers to buy ad space. According to reports, Apple issued a message to developers, inviting them to participate in an online meeting, and encouraging them to buy advertising space on iOS. The company also promises to provide new advertising space when the holiday shopping season comes this year.
Apple’s advertising space is good business
At present, the advertisements in iOS are mainly in the APP Store. In addition, there are mainly two places for ads, one is the search result page, and the other is in the search tab. Apple did not specify where the new advertisements are located. Previous rumours said that there are two new advertisements, one is under the Today tab on the homepage of the APP Store, and the other is “You may also like” on the Apple product page. Apple’s iPhone users are also a billion-level market. It is impossible to not use so many iOS systems. Software services are Apple’s revenue source that has been strengthened in recent years. The total revenue in 2021 will be $68 billion. In recent times, the advertising space is also an integral part of Apple’s revenues.
In 2022, it is expected that only advertising revenue will contribute $5 billion in revenue to Apple. No doubt, the revenue from advertising is very high and Apple needs more from its advertising space. However, inasmuch as the advertising business has its positives, it is also a very delicate business. Companies are usually subjected to several investigations as a result of targeted advertising. This is because these advertisements may need personal information from users.
